BOY WITH GARLAND
#140. Circa 1974
Oil on Paper.
Metal Frame with Mat Under Glass.
The technique of Dry Brush is one where darks are slowly built up layer upon layer by "stabbing" a barely loaded brush at the paper leaving the slightest trace of paint behind. This creates a soft gossamer feeling in the finished work.
